5-Day Amboseli NP & Masai Mara Mid-Range Tour
This 5-day mid-range safari takes travelers through two of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations — Amboseli National Park and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. It offers a classic blend of Kenya’s top wildlife encounters, from Amboseli’s elephant herds beneath Mount Kilimanjaro to the big cats and vast plains of the Mara. The tour showcases the Big Five, the Great Migration (seasonal), and the beautiful African savannah landscapes. Itinerary
Arrival: Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport Nairobi, You will be met and welcomed by our airport representative, followed by a short briefing about the trip just too double confirm the itinerary.
We will later follow by a transfer to the Hotel of your choice {recommended Meridian Hotel } awaiting for the next day trip departure (optional & not included in the cost).
We’ll head out early – pickup is at 6:45 am – to ensure plenty of time in the park. As the sun breaks over the African fields, we’ll stop in the town of Narok and take in the dawning light over breakfast.
Then it’s on to the Masai Mara where we’ll arrive mid-morning, enjoying the Maasai Mara Mara game reseve’s broad savannah accented with signature acacia trees en-route to the lodge.
You’ll be looking upon one of the world’s premier viewing spots. Here are the greatest densities of lions in Kenya and a healthy population of the other Big Five game as well.
Here, too, is the site of the Great Migration, where millions of roaming creatures cross over from the Serengeti in a cycle that has repeated endlessly since time began.
After lunch, have a rest by the pool waiting for the evening game drive when the sun is a bit cool. This time the animals are much active and out hunting for dinner.

Enjoy your breakfast and get ready for a full day of unlimited game viewing. We’ll traverse the grasslands and hills on our way to the Mara River.
This is the site of the great crossing, where the migrating herds come in search of taller grasses. It’s also where crocodiles lie in wait – we’ll see them and hippos as well.
In all, there are over 90 species of mammals in this great ecosystem, all waiting to be discovered by you.
Another way to take in the totality of the Great Migration is in a hot air balloon. There’s nothing like rising above the Mara at dawn and watching the land and the teeming migration come to life.
Please note that this too requires prior arrangements to help avoid last minute disappointments.
We also offer a visit to one of the local Masai villages. Learn about these tribal people and their herding lifestyle. You can purchase some colourful souvenirs as a memento of your visit.

The drive is long today! We’ll have an early breakfast before heading out to Amboseli National Park.
We’ll arrive in Amboseli in time for a late afternoon game drive.
After all the drama of the Mara, you’ll appreciate the calm, steady procession of free-ranging elephants, marching before the stately backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
If we’re lucky, the cloud cover will break around this evening to reveal Kilimanjaro’s famous and photogenic snow-capped peak.

We’ll start the day off viewing the animals as they first awaken and come into the clearings, seeking their first meal of the day. Then, it’s our turn for breakfast.
You can relax now or go on a mid-morning game drive. Or both. You set the pace for the day and we’ll adjust accordingly.
Amboseli is also a wonderful park for viewing large game like lion, cheetah, hyena, impala and giraffe. The park is not big so there’s a good chance we’ll have some wonderful game viewing.

It’s our final day on safari so let’s celebrate with an ultimate game drive through Amboseli’s scenic horizons. We’re very likely to see the park’s famous elephants once more.
Breakfast follows, surrounded by all the beauty of nature and then another mid-morning drive through the park. There will be time to visit any spots you may have missed.
Then we’re off to Nairobi with a stop for lunch on the way. We should arrive at about 16:30 hrs. (4:30 pm).
