12 Days / 11 Nights Best of Kenya and Tanzania Grand Safari Itinerary

You will be picked at 7.30 a.m. by our tour guide/driver and immediately depart for Lake Nakuru to arrive by mid-morning. Check-in at the guesthouse and have lunch. Afternoon a game drive is at 4 p.m. Dinner and overnight stay is at Miale Hotel or similar.

Have breakfast, followed by short game drive in the park, later exit the park, have hot lunch and later drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater Rift Valley Lake where we will transition from Safari vehicle to a boat for a safari across the lake. On the water, we will glide past curious hippos, exotic fish and have a chance to take in the full avian life such as cormorant and pelican

Then we’ll switch gears for a guided walking safari to close-by Crescent Island Sanctuary where we can stroll by peacefully grazing antelope, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and more.

Filling out our day, we’ll bicycle over (or take the 4 x 4 if you choose) to Hell’s Gate National Park for a safari through the gorge taking in the gazelle, zebra, and others.

It’s been a very diverse safari day! We’ll spend the night at the Lake Naivasha safari lodge or tented camp of your choice.

Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive from 3 o'clock till 6 p.m.

Spend this whole day with a game drive in search of the big five and much other wildlife that inhabits these beautiful savannah plains. There will be a picnic lunch in the course of the day.

  Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks

Have breakfast then enjoy a game drive till mid-morning when you depart for Serengeti passing through the Isebania border. Carry packed lunch with you from the lodge because of you will arrive at the park past lunch hour. Have a game drive as you enter the park and later drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

This whole day, have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. Enjoy searching for wildlife in this vast savannah land. Picnic lunch will be served at lunchtime.

Other days you can decide to do an early morning game drive before breakfast. Thereafter, return to the camp for breakfast. Return to the camp and rest then you will have another one at 4 p.m until 6 p.m.

After breakfast, then have a final game drive. Carry packed lunch with you. Depart for Ngorongoro Crater to arrive with en-route game drive to the camp.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge with a packed picnic lunch and depart for a tour of the crater floor, which is home to numerous plains game and the big five. Spend the day within the crater and have lunch at one of the famous picnic spots in the park. Depart for Lake Manyara with a game drive as you leave the park to arrive in Lake Manyara by late evening.

After breakfast at the lodge departs with picnic lunch boxes to the Namanga border. Clear customs and immigration formalities then join our Kenya tour driver and proceed to Amboseli. You will have lunch en route. Once you arrive at the park, you will enjoy a game drive. Look out for large herds of elephants, lions, leopard, gazelles, wild dogs and the magnificent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

  Overnight: Amboseli Kibo Luxury Tented Camp

  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Spend this with morning game drives after breakfast till lunchtime. Return to the camp/lodge for lunch at 1 p.m. Relax by the pool after lunch. The afternoon game drive is at 4o?clock for 2 hours.

  Overnight: Kilima Camp Amboseli

  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Have breakfast at the camp, later check out and drive to Nairobi with lucnch en-route to arrive in Nairobi by evening where the safari ends with Airport/Hotel drop off.
