8-Day Amboseli NP, Lake Naivasha, & Masai Mara, Serengeti & crater Mid-Range Tour

Morning picks up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning and drives to Amboseli National Park arriving at the Amboseli Kibo Luxury tented camp in good time for Lunch (4 hrs drive).

Check-in, freshen up, and later exit the lodge for an afternoon game drive till dusk, giving you an excellent sunset shot of the African rooftop, Mount Kilimanjaro.

This park do not only offers great game viewing but also an excellent view of the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro top peak, best known as the roof of Africa.

The world's tallest free-standing mountain actually rises just across the border in Tanzania but Amboseli has a postcard-faultless view of its snow-capped peaks.

The best time to view 'Kili' is at dawn and sunset when the clouds lift and the light is clear and soft.

The species list includes lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena, giraffe, and cheetah and bird watchers will be happy with a list that tops 300 species.

Depart Amboseli in the morning after breakfast with game en-route as you drive on the floor of the Rift Valley via Nairobi to Lake Naivasha Hells gate National Park.

We will have lunch at Mahiu mahiu (Place of Hot water Springs) and later on, proceed to arrive in Lake Naivasha in good time for an optional boat ride as you view different birding species and with an excellent hippo encounter.

Lake Naivasha boat ride takes you to Crescent Island for a walking safari experience. This is one of the few places in the world where one can wander on foot amidst wild animals’ there are no predators. We will spend our night at Lake Naivasha Sawela Safari Lodge.

NB: While here, you will be able to experience all sorts of travel and adventure activities. The destination is a birding Arena, inhabited by so many birding species.

Your guide is a specialized birding guide with excellent knowledge of Flora and Fauna.

After Morning breakfast, we will head out and explore the Lake Naivasha Hells gate National Park before heading to the legendary Masai mara game reserve.

Lake Naivasha Safari's visit grants you the opportunity to close your eyes and listen quietly for the haunting call of the fish eagles and other birding species, only to open your eyes to the wonder World.

You will indeed be dazzled by the vibrant fuchsia display. The lake also hosts other optional activities that include;

Hell's Gate National Park hike, bicycle riding, Horseback riding, Nature/ walking safari experience at the Naivasha crescent island, amongst the wildlife activities.

We will consequently exit Lake Naivasha and drive to Maasai Mara with Lunch serve at Narok town, we later proceed to arrive in Masai mara game reserve arriving in good time for evening game drive in search of lions, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, hyena, antelope, giraffe among many others.

Spend the better part of this day exploring the Masai Mara Reserve in search of the big cats characterized by the spectacular view of other dramatic wildlife activities; from Wildlife wedding, a honeymoon to hunting with sometimes lions battling it out for Kingdom supremacy.

During game viewing remember to keep a sharp lookout, you may witness a dramatic hunt; a solitary leopard retrieving its kill from the high branches of an acacia tree or a herd of elephants protecting their young from predators.

The Mara is one of the richest wildlife spectacular scenery for the Wildebeest migration that happens to be at its peak in July/ August to October.)

Game viewing is never dull in the Mara throughout the year and patience rewarded with unique sightings, such as a pride of lion stalking prey. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

There is also an opportunity to enjoy a Hot Air Balloon safari experience as well as a walking safari with an armed ranger along the mara River.

Breakfast at the lodge, you will drive through the southern part of Maasai Mara reserve as you proceed to Serengeti via the Tanzania border at Isebania/Siri. 

You will be assisted by your driver-guide to clear customs.

You will have picnic lunches on the way to the picnic site. You will arrive at Serengeti as the day's heat cools off having an en-route game drive to the camp.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti  Sueños de Africa Luxury Camp tented camp.

After breakfast, you will enjoy full-day game drives. Serengeti national park has rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and Kori bustard being common, variety of larks, finches, and raptors.

Serengeti shares the same eco-system with Maasai Mara hence there is plenty to watch.

Breakfast at the lodge, you will have an en-route game drive through Serengeti as you proceed to the Ngorongoro conservation area.

Ngorongoro crater is a world heritage site and the world's largest unbroken volcanic caldera which is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world.

You will enjoy breath-taking views of scenery and the game can be witnessed from both the crater rims and within the crater.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge or a similar.

At 07h00 Breakfast at leisure, followed by a descend the crater rim for a half day tour till 15h00. Picnic lunch boxes serve on the crater floor. Tanzania's 'secret garden’, which contains a hidden world of teeming wildlife.

We later exit and drive to arusha to arrive by late afternoon, airport drop off for your outbound flight.
