Itinerary
Our driver guide will pick you from your Nairobi hotel {Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi} by 07:00 hrs. Depart Nairobi and proceed to the Samburu game reserve.
The scenic drive is via the Kenya highlands with views of tea, coffee and subsistence farmlands.
You shall experience different climatic and vegetation zones on today's drive including the highlands and semi arid desert conditions of northern Kenya.

You'll have a full day to explore the park in search of its rarer inhabitants {Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Gerenuk antelope, and Somali ostrich} as well as the likes of leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes, and more.
While Samburu is smaller than other Kenyan parks and reserves, its diverse wildlife tends to cluster closer together near the life-giving Ewaso Ng'iro River, making it an ideal place to enjoy a game-viewing.
NB: Samburu National Park is a lush oasis on the banks of the great Uaso Nyiro River in Samburu Game Reserve.
The Ashnil luxury camp is a delight to be in — deliciously cooled by the river breeze and the forest.
The camp sits on raised decks overlooking the brown river where the elephants sometimes make an appearance.
Samburu National Reserve lies north of Nairobi, adjoining Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserve.

Wake up for an early Morning game viewing in the Samburu National Reserve. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast and later exit the park with game en-route to the cooler Mount Kenya region at the shadows of Mount Kenya.
Relaxation and optional activities at the exclusive club Sweetwater’s tented camp: Game viewing drives at Olpejeta sanctuary.
NB: Sweetwater's is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible.
The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Afternoon/evening game drives across the Park.
NB: The OI Pejeta Conservancy is the Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa and home to over 88 black rhino.
The conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including all the “Big Five” (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and lion) as well as a sanctuary for rescued Chimpanzees.
Spending a night here grants you an opportunity to experience an optional night game drive that is charge at an extra fee.

Wake up to breakfast, followed by morning optional activities and later then precede Aberdares National Park with an en-route lunch at Aberdare Country Club.
After lunch, you will be transferred to the Ark through Aberdare park. And it overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife.
Modeled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you!
NB: The forests and moorlands of Aberdare NP are a birder’s paradise – more than 290 species have been recorded.
The striking Hartlaub’s turaco is just one of the interesting visitors at the bird feeding platforms at the tree hotels.
Moreover, the indistinct Aberdare cisticola is endemic, and therefore unique, to the region and can be found at higher altitudes.
Several interesting sunbirds here include the rare scarlet-tufted malachite sunbird which can be found on the mountain peaks.

Transfer to your base hotel the Aberdare country club. Then Proceed to the lake Nakuru national park. There shall be a stop to view the scenic Thompson falls at Nyahururu.
The drive via farming country and homesteads via the Great Rift Valley escarpment edge is scenic. Afternoon bird watching and game viewing drive.
The lake Nakuru national park is home to hundreds of thousands of flamingoes and other bird species. The lake also hosts the black and white rhinos in its sanctuary.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge.

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leaves Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara. The drive will be 5 hours to the main gate.
You will pass through Narok the famous Masai town. You will arrive in time for lunch.
Check-in at Mara Sopa Lodge, have lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive through the park in search of Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo, etc.
The Masai Mara lies in the Great Rift Valley which is a fault line some 3, 500 miles long. The plains are full of wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, and the Thomson gazelles.
Also regularly seen are the leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal, and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but often seen at a distance. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles that lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures.

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza! Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system.
It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region.
The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.
We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.
Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October).

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Masai Mara game reserve when the predators are still active. Head back to the lodge for breakfast and later depart for Lake Naivasha with a short visit to the masai Cultural village {optional}, Hot lunch en-route to arrive at the lodge by late afternoon.
Check in to the lodge, followed by a boat ride with an alternative of enjoying a nature walk at Crescent Island. (This is an excellent way to see wild animals while on foot).
The Island is a private game sanctuary, which is home to Zebras, Wildebeests, Gazelles, Vervet Monkeys, Hares, Genet Cats, Waterbucks, and Giraffes.
Later Head back to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Optional bird and nature walk at the lodge gardens on the shores of Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, Proceed for a game drive in Hells gate National Park.
You have the opportunity to ditch the car and go on an optional bicycle riding game viewing in the park and later exit and drive to Amboseli National Park passing through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park.
Amboseli National Park is home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephants. Lunch on arrival followed by evening game drive.
In addition to Antelopes, Zebras, Wildebeests, Buffaloes, and the rare and elusive Leopard, nearly every vista within the park is framed by the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
Wake before the dawn for an excellent sunrise game drive within the park. Kilimanjaro never looks quite as beautiful as she does first thing in the morning, with predators like leopards, lions, and cheetahs out on the prowl in the cooler morning air at its feet.
They don't call Amboseli the Royal Court of Kilimanjaro for nothing, and as you take in its large elephant herds and the stunning panorama of Mt. Kilimanjaro, you'll see why this is one of Kenya's most beloved parks.
Animals are largely inactive during the warm midday hours; we switch to birding under the care of your guide who is also a professional birding guide.
The park is a good birding destination with over 420 birding species; include the globally threatened Madagascar Pond-Heron.
The swamp attracts water-associated birds such as egrets, pelicans, & crowned cranes. Large numbers of flamingos may be present in the Wet seasons (March to May & October to December).
NB: The Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day provides a dramatic background for wildlife photography.
We later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up for a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro to capture the warm sunrise over the roof of Africa as you also enjoy your last day game drive in Amboseli National Park.
Drive back to the lodge for breakfast and later exit the park with game en-route and proceed to the saltlick Lodge located in the midst of the Taita Hills Sanctuary — a private wildlife conservancy of 28,000 acres at the foot of the Taita Hills bordering Tsavo West National Park.
We will be arriving at the lodge in goodtime for late lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive exploring the sanctuary.
The lodge is build on high stilts above watering holes and feeding pastures offering a spectacular view of the wildlife from above and all around.
Large numbers of wildlife come to drink at the waterholes, so Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge provides a rare opportunity to view animals at close proximity in their natural habitat.
The lobby, restaurant and terraced bar all provide excellent views and photographic opportunities, while an underground tunnel and bunker with ground level windows provides unbelievably close yet safe access to a variety of wildlife as they drink.
Similarly, the powerful floodlights illuminate the waterholes as it gets dark, to make sure that you witness all the activity throughout the night.
