6-Day Lake Naivasha – Nakuru & Masai Mara Luxury Tour

This strip starts in Nairobi with Airport or your Nairobi Hotel pick up by 7:00 am after breakfast with a drive towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War {II}, with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley escarpment View pint (viewpoint at 2,200 meters above the sea level) where you get a good view of the Rift valley floor.

The views of Mount Longonot hundreds of meters below on the Rift Valley floor are spectacular. A highlight of this journey is the first glimpse of Mount Suswa along the way.

Look for the charming chapel built by the Italian prisoners at the foot of the escarpment, pass by the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Valley to Narok, and across acres of wheat and barley to rich Masai Mara in time for lunch.

Following lunch, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sunsets.

After Lunch, ditch the car & experience a walking safari along the Mara River under the guide of an armed ranger.

You will go on an early morning game drive, head back to the lodge for breakfast, and later exit and drive travel across the 'breadbasket' of Kenya.

This is where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand.

Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mai -Mahiu, before arriving at Lake Nakuru around midday.

The waters here are often colored shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of beautiful birds lining its shores. Following lunch, you will take an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru National Park, surrounding Nakuru, is home to exceptional birdlife, as well as over 50 varieties of mammals. These include lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, rhino, antelope, and various primates.

After early breakfast proceed to the park where you will see a lot of millions of flamingos among other birds [about 350 species recorded].

This is also home to the black and the white rhinoceros. The park has also been established for the protection of endangered species such as the Rhino and also home to Columbus monkeys leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope.

Later exit the park and drive to Lake Naivasha Country club lodge for lunch and an overnight stay. After lunch, set out to experience a fabulous boat ride.

This is the perfect opportunity to view Hippos and hopefully, the majestic African Fish Eagle hunting its prey. Spend the rest of the day at leisure enjoying the lodge facilities.

After breakfast, you will head for a game walk Safari/ Bicycle riding/ game drive in Hell’s Gate National Park. We will drive back to the lodge for hot lunch and later leave the Rift Valley behind, continuing to Nairobi arriving late-afternoon where the safari ends with airport/Hotel drop-off.
