The Ultimate 10-Day Kenya Safari: A Mid-Range Adventure Across Six Iconic Parks

Your African adventure begins the moment you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). You'll be warmly welcomed by our representative and introduced to your expert safari guide. We’ll depart from the bustling city and head towards the magnificent Great Rift Valley, a geological marvel that stretches across the continent.

Your first stop is a breathtaking viewpoint where you can soak in the panoramic vistas of the valley floor.

The journey continues to Lake Naivasha, a stunning freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus. After checking into your lodge, you can spend the afternoon relaxing and acclimatizing to the serene beauty of your surroundings.

Wake up to the chorus of birds. This morning, you'll embark on a magical boat safari across Lake Naivasha. Glide past pods of grunting hippos and marvel at over 400 species of birds, including the majestic African fish eagle.

We'll visit Crescent Island, a private game sanctuary where you can enjoy a guided walking safari—a rare opportunity to walk alongside giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.

Afterwards, we journey southwest to the main event: the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. As you enter the park, your first game drive begins, offering a tantalizing glimpse of the wildlife wonders to come.

Today is dedicated to a full-day exploration of the Masai Mara, a land of rolling grasslands, acacia-dotted savannas, and abundant wildlife. This reserve is the northern extension of Tanzania's Serengeti and forms one of the world's most diverse and spectacular ecosystems.

The Mara is home to the "Big Five" (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino), and your guide will use their expert knowledge to track them. We'll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the savanna.

If your visit coincides with the months of July through October, you may witness the awe-inspiring Great Wildebeest Migration, a natural spectacle of over 1.5 million animals thundering across the plains.

After a final morning game drive in the Masai Mara, we say goodbye to its vast plains and head to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Famous for the vibrant pink flocks of flamingos that line its shores (seasonally), this park is also a critical sanctuary for the endangered black and white rhino.

An afternoon game drive offers a fantastic chance to see these magnificent creatures, along with the rare Rothschild's giraffe, lions, and leopards.

The park's diverse landscape, from woodland to grassland, makes for a unique safari experience.

After early breakfast, spend the morning in Nakuru Park, where you see many flamingos among other birds [about 350 species recorded].

This is also home to the black and white rhinoceros. The park has been established to protect endangered species such as the Rhino and is also home to Columbus monkeys, leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope. Afterward, depart with Lunch en route.  

We travel south towards the Tanzanian border to Amboseli National Park, famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.

If time permits, have an evening game drive as you proceed to your camp—dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge or a similar experience.

The Amboseli National park is renowned for being one of the best places in the world to get up close to huge herds of free-ranging elephants. Over two days, you’ll enjoy multiple game drives, witnessing these gentle giants as they graze against the backdrop of the iconic, snow-capped mountain.

The park's wetlands and swamps also attract a rich variety of birdlife and other animals, creating a photographer's paradise.

Next, we venture into the rugged and scenic landscapes of Tsavo West National Park. This park offers a dramatic change of scenery, with volcanic hills, rocky outcrops, and the famous Shetani Lava Flows.

A highlight is a visit to Mzima Springs, a crystal-clear oasis where you can descend into an underwater viewing chamber to watch hippos and crocodiles.

Game drives in Tsavo West are an adventure in tracking, with chances to spot leopards, cheetahs, and the park’s diverse birdlife.
